That would be far too energetically expensive. Instead, we merely choose a variant that is already present in the archive. Our consciousness acts like a scanner or a receiver tuning into a specific frequency. When we change our "transmission frequency", meaning our inner attitude and expectation, we naturally slide onto a different life track where events occur exactly as we expect.
The Energetic Parasites: Pendulums and Their Power

You act "out of character," and the pendulum loses access to your frequency.

The "Importance" Bug and Balancing Forces
We now come to perhaps the most decisive mechanism in Zeland’s work. If the Space of Variations is the archive and Pendulums are the energy thieves, then "Importance" is the wrong command we constantly enter into the console.
Zeland explains this with a simple physical law: the striving for balance. Nature always seeks equilibrium. On the level of energy and reality, the exact same thing happens.
As soon as we give a matter, be it a goal, a person, or a problem, a disproportionate significance, we create "excess potential." We charge a certain field with so much emotional energy that an imbalance occurs. Reality reacts to this with Balancing Forces. These forces have only one task: to eliminate the imbalance. Since they act impersonally and mechanically, they often choose the path of least resistance, which usually means removing the object of your desire from you or changing the situation so that the importance "evaporates."

The Patch: "Light Intention"
The solution Zeland proposes sounds almost too simple to be true: Lower the importance. Replace "I absolutely must" with a "calm intention."
In Zeland’s worldview, you go to get your goal just like you go to the mailbox to get the newspaper. You don’t doubt the paper is there. You don’t get upset, you don't throw a party beforehand, you just go and take it. This form of relaxed determination creates no excess potential. The balancing forces have no reason to intervene, and the path in the Space of Variations remains clear.
